Boehringer Ingelheim

Insights into cutting-edge research

The human genome can be up to two meters long and still fit into the nucleus of a cell. This is made possible by a complex folding of the DNA. Scientists at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) in Vienna are investigating how this works and why this folding is important for the human immune system. We were allowed to look over the researchers' shoulders on behalf of Boehringer Ingelheim.

In the film, the scientific director of the IMP and senior postdocs provide insights into their cutting-edge research. In addition to the exciting laboratory shots, 3D animations help to quickly understand complex processes.
